Grants from the Catholic Community Foundation support diverse communities, including the poor and vulnerable, seminarians, and Catholic schools. Last year, the Catholic Community Foundation awarded $162,699 in grants! Since 2008, we have awarded a total of nearly $1.8M in grants.

For the Poor & Vulnerable

Anonymous (International) Grant

The purpose of the Anonymous (International) Grant is to support the needs of the poor and vulnerable within our community, state, country, and world.

Geraldine Kuligowski and Karen Tyler Memorial Grant

The purpose of the Geraldine Kuligowski and Karen Tyler Memorial Grant is to support the needs of the poor and vulnerable within the diocese and state.

Koncavich Memorial Grant

The purpose of the Koncavich Memorial Grant is to provide funds to ministries in the Diocese of Saginaw with a special emphasis on serving the needy and vulnerable.

Mother Teresa Endowment Fund

The Mother Teresa Endowment Fund provides assistance to individuals or couples experiencing limited financial resources while awaiting the birth of their child and/or during the initial period after the birth.

Reverend Noel T. Rudy Grant

The purpose of the Reverend Noel T. Rudy Grant is to support the ministries of the Diocese of Saginaw at the discretion of the Catholic Community Foundation Board of Trustees with a special emphasis on grant requests for the care for the poor, needy, and vulnerable.

For Catholic Education

Bishop Kenneth E. Untener Catholic School Education Grant

The purpose of the Bishop Kenneth E. Untener Catholic School Education Grant is to:

  • Supplement salaries for Catholic school teachers of the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Provide tuition and scholarships for students attending a Catholic school in the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Support other Catholic education opportunities as determined by the Board of Directors of the Foundation
St. Mary Medical Center Catholic School Education Grant

The purpose of the St. Mary Medical Center Catholic School Education Grant is to:

  • Supplement salaries for Catholic school teachers of the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Provide tuition and scholarships for students attending a Catholic School in the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Support other Catholic education opportunities as determined by the Board of Directors of the Foundation
William P. & L. Marjorie Falsey Memorial Fund for Catholic Education Grant

The purpose of the William P. & L. Marjorie Falsey Memorial Fund for Catholic Education Grant is to:

  • Supplement salaries for Catholic school teachers of the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Provide tuition and scholarships for students attending a Catholic School in the Diocese of Saginaw
  • Support other Catholic education opportunities as determined by the Board of Directors of the Foundation

Fr. Charles L. Ganley Grant for Retired Priests and Seminarians

The purpose of the Fr. Charles L. Ganley Grant is to assist the retirement needs of priests not covered through traditional sources and to assist the educational and necessary incidental expenses of seminarians not covered through traditional sources.
