About Us

The Catholic Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization financially supporting the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our Catholic community. Since 2006, the Catholic Community Foundation has been helping you help others by encouraging charitable giving. With your generosity, we support ministries throughout the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw.

On behalf of our donors, the Catholic Community Foundation manages and invests funds through socially responsible investment principles according to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The Catholic Community Foundation serves the entire Diocese of Saginaw, including Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Huron, Isabella, Midland, Saginaw, Sanilac, and Tuscola counties.

Our History

In February 2005, Bishop Robert Carlson requested the creation of a legal entity that could securely hold funds donated by the people of the Diocese of Saginaw. The Catholic Community Foundation gained its 501(c)(3) qualification as a nonprofit in 2006. Since then, we have managed funds in a socially responsible manner through investments that are consistent with the principles of the Catholic Church.

Today, the Catholic Community Foundation inspires faithful giving and manages assets to provide perpetual funding for Catholic parishes, schools, and ministries in the Diocese of Saginaw. By receiving, growing, and distributing funds on behalf of our donors, we financially support the spiritual, educational, and social needs of our Catholic community—to ultimately ensure a thriving Catholic future.

We offer donors a personal and effective investment approach completely aligned with Catholic values. With professional stewardship of funds and optimal tax benefits, you have the opportunity to create a lasting legacy through generous giving to your Catholic community.
