Maureen Becker

I hope to bring an educational perspective to the CCFMM Board. Though now retired, I served as principal and teacher at St. Brigid School from 1990-2019. I earned a B.S. degree from the University of South Dakota and continued my education at both Central Michigan and Saginaw Valley State Universities.

I feel as an educator with over thirty-five years experience in Catholic education, I will be able to help guide some of the decisions involving CCFMM funds for our diocesan Catholic schools and religious education programs.

My husband Mark & I have been married for 41 years. We moved to Midland in 1983 and belong to St. Brigid of Kildare Parish. We have 3 sons and 3 grandchildren: Matt and Emily live in Grand Rapids and have 2 children, Charlotte and Luke; Eric and Erica live in Denver with their son, Charles; and Jonathan is now working as an RN at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, Colorado

With family living all over the United States, Mark and I love to travel. I also enjoy reading and studying family history, making those long lost connections.

“Part of living my Catholic Faith is serving others. By becoming a part of the CCFMM board, I feel I can continue to share my talents beyond my parish to help others throughout the diocese.”
